Another Stupid Student Showreel !

At last i finished my first show reel !!!

Guys for the last few months i hav been trying to learn Pf track , FUsion ,and Nuke .
All i ended up doin till now is this .

not bad, but:
1. you should to add hdr to reflections on ferrari,
2. do not use a footage from tutorials.

And it´s too long for what you have to show. I would shorten the breakdowns quite a bit and lose the "camera projection" shot completely.

I completely agree with mclawest....u cannot use and show breakdowns of a shot which is freely available online....
Also for the ferrari shot try to do some black lifts and add more hue to it. It looks completely dull against the bus in the Bg. Also shadows can be a lot better (chk the shadows of the bus)
For your roto shot...the shadow of the first character disappears when the second character comes in...it would be better if u create a bit of more interaction by shadowing the second character when he passes the frist one.

Apart from the above comments, try to work on your intro because it have disturbing camera moves. It would be better if you could keep it simple and neat with your name, email and contact number.

Your car and roto shot really stands out in your reel because that is your original stuff so try to do more such shots and btw its good to see those local red colored bus here in VFXtalk

Just curious as to which shot is the one available online? Is it the plane shot? And where can I get my mits on it

Definetly got skill involved. Dont know which shot is free online, but the car alone should land you something. Shorten the video, cut breakdowns slim and dont waste time replaying breakdowns. Do it if the work was very complicated, and only then. Great video. Good luck.

@ angryman - Thanks man...the car was my original shot ...i shot it ...traked it... the anim -- tex.. lighting and Comped in Nuke . I will make sure not to make those mistakes ....next time...
